The visit to Guatemala is Harris’ first international trip as vice president. Harris and Giammatti are expected to discuss migration out of Guatemala and other immigration issues, including human trafficking along the U.S.-Mexico border. In a recent interview with CBS News, Giammattei has said he hopes Harris and the U.S. will ‘send more of a clear message to prevent more people from leaving.’
