What's that on your face? This week we dive into facial expressions as well as the mouth shapes you make while talking. Our faces are incredibly malleable based on our internal state reflected to the outside world. The same principles for these expressions carry over across a myriad of different face types as you'll see in this episode.
How often have you thought about what shape your mouth makes while speaking certain sounds as in the alphabet? This is one of the tricks that professional character animators keep in the bag while illustrating people talking. Your vocal chords and mouth are working together to produce these sounds and now you can see how to show this in your character drawings. Happy creating!
