Only 10% of STARs (workers Skilled Through Alternative Routes) are in high-paying jobs at the top of their field.

32 million have the skills to move up, but they are often blocked by unnecessary bachelor's degree screens.

These workers demonstrated skills for jobs that pay at least 50% more than their current role. If employers hire based on skills instead of pedigree, more STARs would rise.
