In this NowThis News video, Travis Crown sat down to discuss being disowned by his parents, being gay and homeless youth, and how he overcame homelessness in California to help other LGBTQ teens. Many homeless youth are LGBTQ, meaning lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning. Everyone's coming out story is different but because of his religious strict parents, Travis experienced coming out to parents gone wrong. Travis was kicked out for being gay and was disowned by family. He learned the hard way how to deal with being disowned by your family. But now he encourages homeless youth speak out, as this story is so important during gay pride month.
