Saving money is not that simple. There's so much more to the equation than just "stacking your coins". I noticed the money habits of the wealthiest people around me and I realized they were doing things I had never learned. Access to financial knowledge and stability is a privilege and many people, like myself, have to work harder for that knowledge often times by making money mistakes- especially when you don't come from money.
